Very herbal and floral nose, smells like a potpourri beer.
Taste was blech, too spicy and floral and all over the place. It’s trying too hard, which IMO a saison should never do.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 2, 2009 Courtesy of Per, corked bottle Cloudy pale blond color; high carbonation, but the head has very little retention. The aroma is very peculiar; it mixes flowers, lemon, herbs; even some cobwebs; very light hops. The body is light, the mouthfeel is dry; the flavor is light, it reminds some dry honey, with a soapy flowery accent, some lemon and spices. Very original and pleasant. Spicy hoppy body with pepper, lemon, ginger root, and pear notes. Bitter sweet spicy finish. Nice brew. Hank1980 (762), Athens, Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 13, 2009 Bottle from Seb. Thanks! Poured a cloudy gold with a decent-sized white head. Aroma of spice, ginger, fruit, booze. Really, pretty interesting compared to some other saisons. Taste is really nice, with some fruit, spice, and booze. A little citrus in there as well. Again, pretty nice. Mouth is really carbonated and cleansing. Overall, a solid brew. Very enjoyable. j12601 (1261), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 12, 2009 Bottle with a 2008 cork courtesy of daknole, thanks man. Pours a lightly hazy gold with a medium white head. Light ginger, wood, apple, and band-aids. Tastes a bit like applesauce, with some cinnamon. Very odd. Finishes with a dry hay bitterness. Kind of weird.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 9, 2009 An altogether pleasant and enjoyable saison.
Cloudy orange color with a big, rocky, white head.
Orange, light spice and some slightly off note in the smell. Soap, I suppose. Notes of cinnamon.
Light on the tongue despite the 7.5% - very welcome given that it is a saison - with a subtle sweetness, orange and light spice. Slightly hot at the forefront (from the hops, spices or alcohol, I can’t really pinpoint it) with a spicy bitterness on the swallow. Carbonation level is high.
Interesting, actually. And, most importantly, enjoyable. blipp (1669), Newark, New Jersey, USA

Tart fruity flavor, brett esque but not quite, with some underlying spicy and earthy notes. Interesting. malrubius (988), Valley Stream, New York, USA
