Dark orange, no head. Aroma of sweet dark fruits - plums. Malty christmas spice and fruit peels taste. Have this instead of a muscat at the end of your meal. JoeinUccle (911), Brussels, Belgium

Sweet flavor has some greenery, but not much bitterness. Somewhat thick mouthfeel, but a bit wet. It is none of those things that I usually identify wth saisons: hoppy, refreshing, lively nor dry. Noticeable alcohol despite sweetness. More of a dessert beer, I guess, not for matching with a hearty meal on a warm day. I admit that I had to look up "woodruff." Taste is dominated by an unusual flavour that I’m not used to, supposedly it is an aromatic plant called the woodruff. I can only describe these aromatic flavours as mint, spices, medicine, lilac. All that floating on top of a rather malty and caramelized body. Like having sex with a really dumb cheerleader, this is good stuff as long as you don’t have it too often. joss (3685), Garching b. Light yet chewy body. Fruity base, bready, sweet - the woodruff shines through now and then. Hides strength very well - drinkable like soda. Bready aftertaste. Miksu (2231), Jyväskylä, Finland
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 5, 2006 Bottled. Amber color with weak head. Sweet and fruity aroma with notes of melon and plum. Sweet herb liquer like flavor with licorice, plum and raisins. Sweet and spicy finish. Very sweet but still a pleasant dessert beer. To my mind a saison should be dry and refreshing. This is just the opposite. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA
