Slightly reminiscent of a bock or maibock, but with a spicier finish. Deliciiously drinkable, especially at 8.3%. Lots of amber malt notes. Worth seeking out. I brought this 330ml bottle back from Brussels. thewolf (5808), Kolding, Denmark

Pours muddy, pale yellow with a giant, creamy, off-white head. Rock solid. Great aroma, lots of pepper, biscuity malts, citric, oranges and flowres. Lowish carbonation for the style, nice creaminess. Flavour is mil malty sweet with a touch of bretty funk, good oranges, vanilla. Great hoppy and peppery finish. Very nice. Sickboy282 (1100), San Diego, California, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 30, 2007 Bottle Murky orange-amber body. Ecru-yellow, creamy head. Very nice and quite intense aroma of smoke, flowers, hops, citrus, american hops, caramel malts, ... great! Moderately bitter, lightly sweet initial flavour. A little bit sweeter in the end. Flavour of caramel, fruits, flowers and some spices. Very nicely well balanced flavour with a decent complexity. Although maybe somewhat too strong for a saison, it is very lovely. I really like this one. Maybe not the greatest or most complex one, but it’s great in balance. JensenTaster (1588), Denmark

Amber/orange look, hazy, with toffee and perfumeish notes to the woodruffy. It´s sweet, candy-like and a bit sticky. But the finish, port, and burnt canesugarwas great. fiulijn (7420), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy

Soma aroma of malt, candi sugar, sweet caramel, butter, some alcohol. Good body structure, with good malt flavor, sweet, and a clear fudge touch too; distinctive and very good Strong Belgian Ale.
