Smells sour with some elements of grapefruit and gasoline. Taste is slightly fruity with a weird sourness that never quite makes it to the front on the line. Appley and vinegar on the finish. clutchrogers (90), Broussard, Louisiana, USA

Barnyard aroma, however also in taste, let warm to just below room temperature. Apple juice, yeast, a bit metallic after-taste. kook (2034), Perth, Western Australia, Australia
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 20, 2005 Hazy gold with white head. Mild malty wheat aroma with a bit of wet cardboard. Loads of spice in the background too. Sweet yet sour and citric at the same time. A little oxidised, but I’m unsure of the age (it looked old). Quite refreshing and tasty, but it did taste a bit past its date. 11026 (1799), Alabama, USA

Nice malty aroma with hints of sour and funk much like a lambic and a touch of melon-like fruit. Medium to light bodied. Underlying sourness throughout. Refreshing and light, hints of spice on the tongue. Palate just fades into oblivion rather quickly. Pailhead (2593), Allen Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 16, 2005 Bottle: Courtesy of Styles. Initially the first aroma is extreme sourness and tartness. However, upon smelling again I get mostly fruit and yeastiness with a light sourness. Pours a hazy orange with white ring for a head. Very sour and tart. Finishes with a light wood, spice, and fruit character. A slightly watery sweetness comes in the finish. Very nice. Papsoe (14997), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 16, 2005 (Bottle 75 cl) Reddish amber, no head - and not really any carbonation either. actually this beer is completely flat. With it’s pronounced tartness this appears more akin to Gueuze which is a bit odd for a Saison. Wooden, fusty notes. Very quenching - but a strange bird indeed, 260997 OlivierMTL (711), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
