750ml bottle dated 2005. Pours a translucent gold with a very thick and creamy off white head. Lots of bubble and a few floaties swimming around too. Fizzy and tart on the palate. Taste is very crisp and refreshing with a distinct lemon and hops aftertaste. A very good Saison. The more I drink Saisons, the more I like them. Top notch brew here.

Bottle from Monumental in Concord, CA. Aroma a combination of something like citrus and sweat. Beautiful hazy gold color with a frothy white head that does not want to quit. Medium body with creamy carbonation. A little sour citrus, a little pineapple, a bit of must, earth and dust, other things too. It’s almost crisp, and the finish is nicely dry with hop spice for accompaniment. At the very end the pineapple seems to lurk. Not at all sweet, but maybe a sour sweet - like not quite ripe pineapple. It’s really good. I’m with drfabulous, except I don’t think I could afford it. Did I say it is really good? Thank you Shelton Brothers. Thanks to MJ too.

Very light and refreshing saison. Taste of banana. Wonderful aroma. I don’t know why my wife doesn’t like this style. I can drink it all day long.

37.5 cl bottle Very pale golden beer, slightly hazy. Aroma of apricots and pears and some lemon/lemongrass over an earthy/husky malt base. Fresh cut straw and a celler-like dankness to the malts with added herbal hoppy character. A hint of cherry and berry with a soft toasted maltiness. A little bit grassy with some light acidity on the back. Very complex combination of earthiness and spice. Great brew.

37.5cl bottle: Brilliant, crisp gold color with white, lareg-bubbled head that doesn’t stay around too long. First aroma is of skunk but it quickly blows away leading to a nice earthy and musty cellar aroma wit cork and vinous characters. Slight rubber or band-aid but not to an off-putting degree. When this lively liquid hits the mouth and flows over the tongue, you feel that the beer is going to be slightly sweet, but this is kicked out of your mind with a nice bitter twang. Some pineapple, citrus, pepper, bitter orange peel, and a sharp raw wheat, followed by a little malt and a lightly metallic sourness. A very nice dry warm weather beer!
