2005 750ml bottle shared by clarkvv. Pours a golden color with a white frothy head that lasts. Head receedes and leaves lots of lacing throughout. Nose is very spicy, lots of coriander and pepper. Nose also has some very fresh cut grass notes. Flavor is very light and watery. Some nice peppery notes and some coriander and lemon, but overall flavor is not spectacular as the nose is. Overall, the beer is very drinkable and would make great for sessions.

aroma is melange of spice. It’s cloudy yellow with a little head. Bold carbonation, tart acidic citus fruit, yeasty, malted down. Spelt gives it interesting fresh rye bread flavours. Hops are present. Drying finish with sprucy pine. Better as it warmed

Robe blonde claire surmontée d’une mousse blanche épaisse qui persiste. Arômes de céréales et d’agrmues. Saveurs d’agrumes, de céréales, de fruits, de bonbon, de levure et d’épices.

Bottle. Beer on the Pier brought by Shelton Bros. Slightly tart aroma but otherwise a little banana wheat in the nose. Cloudy light gold with a thin, white, lasting head. Very carbonated mouthfeel with banana notes. Quite interesting. Probably would be better after letting the carbonation settle down a bit. Not bad; a style on which I need to gain more experience.

Bottled in 2004, hazy yellow hue, with an off-white head, with a wheaty and spelty notes, yeasty, citrus fruits accent, hint of vanilla spiciness, floral hops in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, spelty character, with some green apples, and zesty acidic citrus fruits accents, with some woody, corky notes, hint of spiciness, nice corbonation, leading towards a lemony floral hops bitterness finish.

2005. Hazy yellow/gold. Huge, explosive, dense sponge of a white head. Poured into my new Blaugies La Moneuse tulip. I think they make their own glasses in the same garage they make their beer. This thing is crooked from every angle, now the most gangster glass I have. Aroma of must, grainy malts, crisp and a bit floral hops, subtle light fruits. Flavor to match with the yeast picking up some spicy notes and a tinge of sourness. Finishes crisp, dry, yeasty. Medium, sparkling body. Refreshing, easy to drink saison. Great stuff, especially for the warmer parts of the year.

Bottle @ Max’s: Hazy yellow-golden-straw colored body along with a medium white head, somewhat lasting. The aroma shows some light grass, yeast, light funk, fresh straw, grains, with some hints of cheese. The flavor is spicy hops, grass, sweet grains, plenty of yeast, light funk, mild pepper, plenty of the funky-spicy flavors you’d expect from any saison. Medium bodied, medium carbonated, lively at times.
