| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | May 8, 2005 750 mL bottle (at least 2 years old): as soon as the cage was lifted, the cork actually removed itself, no overflow, but bubbles quickly began to form and fill the neck. Crystal clear lemon gold with an enormously thick, creamy white foam on top. Sweet limestone and chalky barnyard aroma combine with wonderful leather and rose petal notes in a quiet, but understated effervescence. Soft, yet strongly carbonated palate – full flavours and everything that you can dream of for a Saison: complex peach fuzz, fresh straw, dry earth, sweet floral notes, a taste of perfume, sticky honey. A true work of art, genius…if I can be so bold. Hildigöltur (5109), København, Denmark

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 3, 2005 Cork bottle. Very pale gold with abundant white head. Tasted more like a Belgian wheat beer than a saison - mostly yeast flavors with little of the complexity it expected. MaxPower (961), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 3, 2005 Corked and caged bottle pours a cloudy and hazy bright golden-orange color, huge frothy clingy off white head that leaves a sticky lacing in the glass that lasts, fruity lemon and funky yeasty aromas. Fruity sour lemony spicy flavors, peppery finish. Medium bodied with a crisp, super carbonated mouthfeel, this is a spectacular brew. kane (111), USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 26, 2005 I think I almost got spelted by the cork ! Pours a hazy golden straw color with a large white head. Aroma of inside barn dirt, loft dust, slightly ripe pear, cigar wrapper. Upon tasting the first thing I notice is how dry this is, in a refreshing way. Taste of pepper, fresh bread, smoke, grass. I love the word primitive in the description. The new label fooled me for a few but I hope these Belgian garage brewers change nothing as this is a great beer.
