Thanks to bu11zeye for sending this beer in a trade a few months ago. I finally got around to opening it on a quiet evening. It has held up quite well if it is actually a 2004 bottle. I think it might even be drinkable for a few more years to come.
Aroma / Appearance - The loose packed head let a wonderful mix of fruity esters sneak through. Included in the golden carbonated body was lemon, apple, white grape, and straw. It was almost champagne like in its ease on the nose.
Flavor / Palate - Carbonated and champagne like the mouthfeel unleashed a blend of sour apple, honey, straw, and other fruity notes. Very drinkable and mellow this was the definition of a sessionable farmhouse ale. The only flaw I found was a bit too much carbonation; this might settle with time but I’m not so sure as it already had at least two years on it. hellbilly (1566), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA

pours golden and really hazy with a lasting white head.
it smells alpha/stank weed-ish with notes of straw, pils-like malt, bready yeast and orange. there is an intoxicating hop bouquet on the nose...
but, the flavor is a big ol’ let down... skunky/sweaty hops, a bit vegetal/corn, straw, earth and saison spice with a dry finish. it is a bit like chompin’ down on a stick!... medium body with soft carbonation. 7/4/6/3/14/3.4

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 17, 2009 Draught at ZBF09. Distinct clove aroma, quite sweet. Hazy yellow colour. Nice stable creamy white head. Coriander and clove flavour. Like a wit without the citrus. The bitterness in the finish seems to come from lemon peel, though. Rather low carbonation. A watery and dry beer with a bit of a boring palate of bitters. An ideal thirstkiller. But that says it all. Avengedpoet (325), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 10, 2009 From the cellars of bockyhorsey at the bockyhorsey tasting. Pours a golden pils color with significant wheat and starch haze. Aroma is of heavy, sweaty, funky hops. Taste is quite a bit like a straight pilsner. Some saison spiciness shines through, but a disappointing amount of hops makes it to the taste. The carbonation is quite prickly, but only enough to make the beer a refreshing palate cleanser. bonfunck (149), Waasmunster, Belgium
