| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 20, 2008 Out of the bottle the aroma of spicy yeast is amazing. I almost appreciate the aroma of this fine saison more than the flavor. Pours a slightly hazy straw golden with beautifully spritzy carbonation. Make sure to have 2 or 3 tulips ready when you pour because the carbonations forms a huge head that is retained very well. Drinks with a very dry, yet fruity flavor with semi-lingering finish. I just love Saison & this one is on the top of my list. I appreciate the bone dry & spicy aspects to this beer and wish that more American brewers produced a beer with theses characteristics as opposed to the more fruity, sweet side. Blaugies never lets me down.
