I almost appreciate the aroma of this fine saison more than the flavor. Pours a slightly hazy straw golden with beautifully spritzy carbonation. Make sure to have 2 or 3 tulips ready when you pour because the carbonations forms a huge head that is retained very well. Drinks with a very dry, yet fruity flavor with semi-lingering finish. I just love Saison & this one is on the top of my list. I appreciate the bone dry & spicy aspects to this beer and wish that more American brewers produced a beer with theses characteristics as opposed to the more fruity, sweet side. Blaugies never lets me down. DuffMan (2774), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada

This is similar in profile to Dupont, but slightly sweeter and a little less bitter. Still a terrific saison. TURDFERGUSON (1606), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA

Flavor is slightly spicey and dry with some mild citrus and more yeast. Good stuff. SHIG (2043), Aviano, Italy

The aroma was barn yard with yeasts and some sour fruits. The taste is acidic, very spicy with fruit. Slayer85 (589), Firenze, Italy
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 27, 2008 750 ml bottle. A very cloudy golden beer with a huge and persistent white head. The aroma is fantastic, more hoppy and yeasty than malty. There are notes of grass, herbs, hay, citric fruits and some spices. The flavour has a light sweetness and a balanced acidity. Again very grassy with some fruity and spicy notes. Medium body, lively carbonation, dry, medium lenght finish with moderate bitterness. Fantastic aroma, balanced tartness, lovely flavours, maybe a longer finish (that however is very clean) would have helped. But this is a very good stuff. kiefdog (1635), Tampa, Florida, USA

Pours a dark golden color with a very thick, creamy white head that settles slowly. Smells of spice, wheat, yeast, malt. Flavor has notes of citrus and hops with a slightly dry character. Lacks depth, but a drinkable saison. Ober (1232), Bommelerwaard, Netherlands

In the aroma are some light spices and there is yeast. In the back some fruits. It has a dry taste, hop bitter, also a little sweet of fruits. There is a light bitter aftertaste.
