Brutally complex, straw, sweet and vitaminny yeast notes, grapefruit, light nuttiness, great looking and delicious. For some reason I prefer my Foret experiences but this one’s no slouch. madlizzie (12), England
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 28, 2006 The beer pours an obscure lemon yellow color, the head mountainous in size, frothy in texture and the color an off white. As the head erodes it leaves behind a fine covering sheet of lace to seal off the glass. The aroma of yeast unmistakable, malt, a tiny bit astringent and the ever present musty smell of these organics, that actually appeals to me. It begins sweet, noticeable malt, the top middling in feel, acerbic finish, with generous hop bitterness, quite dry and lingering aftertaste. Quite a decent drinking beer and a welcome change of pace from the heavy strong ales I’ve beer sampling lately. pivnizub (5086), Bochum, Porúří, Germany

A pleasant, spicy and refreshing brew..... OleR (2106), Oslo, Norway

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Nov 29, 2006 Don’t know too much about this beer – I picked it up in Wellington of all places. Fluffy white head early but it settles very quickly. Very viscous lacing. Glowing dirty orange, quite ‘thick’ in appearance. Great nose – heaps of lifted spice, dry pepper and hops. A sweeter honeyed note lurks in the background. Much more austere to taste. Not dilutive (I think) but rather transforms into a elegant hop driven beer. Nice herbal edge with nettles and a sharpening bitterness. (BB August 2007) Kevster (229), Bradenton, Florida, USA

Pours a hazy straw color with a huge foamy off-white head that is fully lasting leaving excellent lacing. Citrus aroma has hints of orange peel and lemon. Flavor is sweet and sour in the same bite with a dry peppery finish. Excellent!
