Poured a straw yellow body with an off white head. Hoppy grass on the nose, ginger, honey, and citrus. Taste was of yeast and flowers, a hop bitterness throughout. Palate was medium and fizzy, with a long finish.

In short: A tart Saison. Very good beer but far behind other Dupont Saisons
How: Bottle 750ml, consumed fresh a few weeks after receiving it.
The look: Cloudy dark yellow topped by a initially large white head with medium retention.
In long: Some farmhouse character on the nose but really not as much as with most Dupont Saisons. Fizzy beer with taste of pineapples, dried light-color fruits, banana cake, lemon pie, dry nobles hops. Aggressive carbonation. This is a very good beer but the Dupont Saison family is a hard name to live-up to. This beer is the Rockefeller with the $500,00/year income and only one summer house.

Trade with Fonefan. It’s warm golden with a light sediment and a huge, creamy, white head. The aroma is spicy, fruity and malty. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of spice (mostly coriander), fruit, citrus, malt and in the finish I get notes of pepper, cinnamon and nut meg.

25cl Bottle @ Café Gollem. Cloudy golden colour, big white head. Very sweet fruity aroma of apple and pear, yeast and some hops. Flavour is not half as fruity as the aroma suspects, a little malty sourness (don’t know how to explain it otherwise), a bit of spice and a lot of dryness. Fairly high carbonated, making it hard for the flavours to come out, so I found this one to be rather one-dimensional.

From a bottle served at "Ludlow Wine" in Cincinnati, Ohio - This one poured a golden brew that smelled of fresh meadow grass and sweet malt, with a fine, white head of foam. Tastewise, it was sweet and grand, a near perfect example of the brew type.

Corked 750ml bottle. BB 10.2009. Pours a textbook hazy orangey-straw body with creamy medium sized head white head leaving clumps all the way down. Lemon sourness on the nose, plenty of clove, pepper and lifted spiciness, some banana, grainy malt, grassy hops and an underlying lactic cheese element that pops up. Body is lean, gives the impression of attenuation, quite a lively creamy carbonation bring with it a bit of acid bite and good length. Cereal and lemon I get straightup on the body, bit of grapefruit too, banana and clove and nutmeg, pepper towards the finish, get a bit coriander as it warms too. Finish is dry, some acidic tartness, hop bitterness and grassiness, not to mention that underlying funky cheese mould character. Very complex and refreshing! Not a style i’m very familiar with (yet), but i’d best describe it somewhere between a hefewiezen and Belgian wit, with a bit of gueuze funk thrown in there.

Bottle 75 cl. shared with friends. Pours a little bit cloudy golden with a big white head and a fresh fruity and spicey aroma with a note of fresh hops. The flavor is spicey and a tad bitter, really complex with a mild sweet undertone. A long bitter spicey finish to end it off. Great beer

Bottle.75cl. Very nice spicy aroma, with some yeast notes, huge head running over the top, hazy fluid, golden and hay like color. very nice taste it almost got all of the palate, sweet and yet dry, some candy in the aftertaste.
