Tastewise, it was sweet and grand, a near perfect example of the brew type. TexasAggie12 (64), Burnet, Texas, USA

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 30, 2008 Plenty of citrus in the nose, especially when cold. Becomes more expressive as it warms offering some barnyard, sweet grassy hay, floral and spicy notes and an underlying sweet fruitiness. Very hazy, almost opaque yellow blonde body is topped by a decent, fine bubbled white head that recedes slowly to a lasting cover with plenty of lacing on the sides of the glass. Biscuity and lightly grainy malts blend with plenty of citrus and tropical fruit with spicy, floral and haylike hops notable in the aftertaste. Bitterness while quite pronounced is never the focus. Medium body with a creamy texture and pleasantly prickly effervescence. Sweet er and bit more full bodied than their bench-mark Vieille Provision but excellent in its own right. Thanks to Gerry for bringing this special treat to BC so that we can enjoy it this summer. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle (Brewery Creek, May-08). madlizzie (12), England
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 28, 2006 The beer pours an obscure lemon yellow color, the head mountainous in size, frothy in texture and the color an off white. As the head erodes it leaves behind a fine covering sheet of lace to seal off the glass. The aroma of yeast unmistakable, malt, a tiny bit astringent and the ever present musty smell of these organics, that actually appeals to me. It begins sweet, noticeable malt, the top middling in feel, acerbic finish, with generous hop bitterness, quite dry and lingering aftertaste. Quite a decent drinking beer and a welcome change of pace from the heavy strong ales I’ve beer sampling lately. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 29, 2006 Hazy deep straw in color with a medium white head. Aroma is funky, with notes of fruit and spice ( oranges, nutmeg, pepper). Flavor is consistant with aroma and also displays some tartness in the finish.
