Some maltyness and also the Belgian sweetness. Slightly Cloudy Golden with fair head but no lacing. Finishes nicely bubbleflubber (900), Collinsville, Virginia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 17, 2009 Pours slightly cloudy straw-orange into the glass, with a huge frothy head that retains well and leaves nice sudsy lace. Immediately, the nose hits me of extreme earth notes, with hints at of burning rubber (exactly that of a pencil eraser that has been overused, and still warm from the friction). Very pilsner-esque so far. The flavors come nicely, some lemon, hops, silo grains and dry spices. Everything integrates well, with a touch of pepper toward the finish to pull everything together. The mouthfeel is very easy-drinking with decent carbo levels. Not my particular style of choice, but the rating is not based on my likeness; rather, my appreciation for the offering. Good job for a saison.... almost an impy pils imho. brewblackhole (1385), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 16, 2009 Aroma of tangy lemon, and the jowl teasing sourness, flavor is refreshing lemony citrus, rich malting that seems like it wants to go sweet, but never does, little hints of spiceness in finish. Am amzing beer, incredibly tastey yet very thirst quenching. aclassic summer brew,on tap at 3 Cellars Soonah (980), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 15, 2009 A cloudy golden pour sits beneath a thin layer of white foam. Lacing clings on inside of glass. The aroma is earthy, hoppy and kind of woody. Cut with citrus and spicy pepper. The flavor was clove, pepper, earth, floral hops and a taste of yeast. The mouthfeel was of a well put together saison. Insanely drinkable. Pastor (534), Maine, USA

There is quite a bit of hops in the nose in this one. Then some great fruit aromas come through as well. The flavors follow the nose but also a nice spiciness as well. The feel in your mouth is medium with excellent carbonation for your tongue
An easy to drink Saison I really enjoyed with my meal. I conceder this a great go to brew for the summer season

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jun 10, 2009 2008 Version. Pours a light cloudy yellow with a thick white, frothy head. Aroma contains a lot of pilsner, light noble hops, some light struck skuniness from the green bottle, and lastly the sourness and cheesy smell is very pronounced. Flavor starts off with a strong pils and cheesy note, light lemon sweetness and citrus and ends with a fantastic tartness. Overall the beer is very good, minus the slight skunkiness that is present ,but I can see the fresh batch as a very good, top notch brew to be enjoyed any time of the year. Great tartness, sour and cheesy flavors to this saison! joshcarr1987 (14), Australia
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Jun 10, 2009 Wow! World Classic! This to me is what Saisons are all about. A thick white head which almost filled the glass sat on top of a cloudy yellow body. Head was tightly beaded, dense and great lacing. Spice, cloves, citrus and a touch of alcohol on the nose. Flavours of pepper, yeast, citrus and a dry light bitter finish, the body is thin enough to make it easy to quench your thirst and then keep on drinking and drinking. Love it!
