Commercial Description:
Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

On tap at the Flying Saucer in KC. Pours a hazy orange-gold body with a finger-width, fluffy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate amount of soapy lacing. Aroma is malty and spicy citrus. Lots of Belgian wheat malts and yeast. Good amount of musty pepper and farmhouse spices along with a lemony zest. Some floral hops and banana/pear-melon. Flavor is similar with more of a noticeable grassy and earthy hop spice. Lots of wheat malts and a nice peppery balance. Slightly tart citrus, pear, cloves, yeast, and honey. Palate is creamy, soft, round, and full until a smooth drying finish. Overall, a solid, complex, and well rouded saison, but it just didn’t stand out like I was expecting. Put together very well and enjoyeable nonetheless.

Pours a very nice hazy light yellow (yeast swirling around) with a rather thick, white, and dense head. The aroma is huge! Fantastic aromas of spices are dominating, so much so that it makes it hard to decipher other aromas, though I know something else is lurking. Yeast is also noticeable in the aroma as well as some cookie. Some citurs/lemon is prevalent in the nose as well. The taste of fresh bread and yeast is most noticeable at first followed by a light spicey compliment and fruity bananas. Finishes very light and a little dry. This is very light and mild yet extremely complex. A wonderful summer brew.

Excellent beer. The 750ml bottle is for individual consommation, not to share. Very refreshing, with a citrus dominant taste, notes of spicyness, wheat, rye. Complex but soooo drinkable.

Very good. Not much on looks, but great on taste. Pours yellow with no head. Armoa of cloves. Great flavor.

330 mL bottle. Pours gold with lots of debris and a bubbly white head. Aroma is solid cloves and not much else. Flavor is a great combination of bubble gum and cloves, along with some bitter hops for backup. I was very impressed by this saison. Great stuff.

Poured from one of the smaller caged cork bottles into a tulip glass. Giant hard foamy head. Wait... ....that sounded really gay. Very hazy golden body. Golden body? I think I can make this beer sound gayer somehow. Floral aroma... ...yup, less than hetero. Creamy mouthfeel.... ...seriously, incredible mouthfeel. You cant really even taste the yeast as much as you expect in a saison. you get the spicy and herbal results form the yeast, but no overpowering yeast taste. Not the most flavorful or unique Saison, but delicious, delicate, and well crafted. just a perfect basic saison. I love it.
