Yeasty, earlh and malt goodness to aroma and flavor, with more mineral taste and bolder body than typical for style. Finish dries out. doublea (16), , California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 31, 2009 On tap @ beachwood bbq. Pours clear bronze, slight head. Aroma is saison - earth, yeast, foral hops.
Very drinkable, and a very standard saison - citrus, hops, yeast, spice, earth, slightly dry finish. Nothing jumping out to WOW me, but a good beer.

Packed with flavor and more awesomeness, and a nice, dry finish. Awesome saison. Still not sure what that means, but aight. gte620v (29), Georgia, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 25, 2009 9oz; Tap at The BookHouse. My first Belgian farmhouse. Initial taste is similar to a fruity white beer, but the sourness and highly bitter kick quickly follow. Very interesting flavor, but not the most pleasant-tasting beer. ajm (970), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jan 23, 2009 Tap at Lucky Baldwin’s, another of Brian’s wistful beers. I was kind of intimidated by such a classic, but it’s one of the great support columns of the style so I knew I was in good hands. Bright yellow gold with a neat white head. Smells of lemon and zest, flour, grass and dust. Crisp flavor of drawn out Belgian hop and very delicate malt balance. Mildly lemony, mildly grassy. Ends pretty decidedly but on indistinct flavor. Probably the hoppiness is the finish. lassem (322), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 23, 2009 Bottle 33 cl - black lable. Pours a hazy yellow filled with tiny yeast left overs...or so I hope it is. Little whte head esoecially round the edge of the glass. The nose is overwhelming - its sparkling anf intense. There is walnuts, some smoke, peatches and perfumed yeast. The taste is spiced up. There is some garlic and pepper and semi-dried fruits with a agressive hoppy bitter finish in close companionship with Mr Yeast. Tickeling palate. Surprisingly good. biggmike (480), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 21, 2009 This beer poured an attractive golden color with a nice sumptuous head that dissipated slowly. Nice aroma that complex mix of fruit, spice, and hops. Fruitness is balanced by the hops bitterness. A bit of a dry mouthfeel. Drinkability is high on this one. Good Beer.
