Commercial Description:
Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

A bottle of this was left open on the countertop one night (i have no idea how that could have happened). The next day, it was musky, fruity with a bit of spice-creamy on the palate with a wonderful dry, complex finish. We may start leaving one out to dry more often.

Pretty much the standard for the style. Pours a golden color with a grassy and musty nose. Flavor is fruity, grassy and even a little spicy. Light, refreshing, crisp and delicious.

On tap @ Whole Foods. Pours a nice hazy gold color with a nice white head. Aroma is yeast, farm funk, grass, lemon zest. Flavor is lemon, grass, yeast, funky. Very crisp and carbonated and refreshing. Good Saison.

This was a much anticipated tasting for me and it lived up to expectations. I cracked the beer to celebrate the Eagles making the playoffs. Poured hazy orange with a huge head and a big carbonation that lasts till the end. The head lasts forever and leaves lacing on the glass. There was sediment in the glass which is always a turnoff for me. There are some rich spicey, citrusy notes with a mild bitterness. I was thinking corriander and grapefruit were the dominant flavors here. There are also some interesting champagne notes as well. This is a rich beer with very complex flavors.

750 ml bottle, pours a golden orange color, cloudy, with big frothy white head. Aroma was initially a bit skunky, but as it aired out, that dissipated. Aroma settled into a nice, spicy citrus scent...mainly lemon, with a bit of orange. Taste was citrus, wheat, sweet malt, and spice. Mouthfeel was extremely crisp, carbonated, and very quenching. Though I am drinking this in winter, I cant wait to try again in summer, this would be a great summertime beer. This is really good stuff!

Pours a dark creamsicle orange with a finger of silky smooth just off white head that provides a lasting healthy cover and a sticky sheet of lacing. Dry musty aroma, light spices, and a caramel sweetness and citrus. Taste is sweet and fruity, tastes of melons and mango with a more citric taste in the dry spicy finish.

A fabulous and fabulously drinkable beer. Light and crisp, complex aroma and flavor, hoppy, fruity, spicy. Just great. Goes well with Japanese food, too, in case you wondered. I could live off this stuff. Perfect balance, wonderfully made.
