Commercial Description:
Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

Bottle. Pours cloudy gold with a bi dense white head. Aroma is fruity and subtle. Lemony citrus, dust, and berry. Crisp body. Fruity flavor with hints of spice. Also lemon, berry and dust. Finish is dry. Very nice and very drinkable.

Hazy gold/orange color with huge foamy head. Floral/fruity aroma dominates this beer. Very fruity and hoppy with a dry clean finish. Extremely drinkable.

I think this was the first saison I ever had and I have had it a few times since. Really a good beer. Hazy yellow clor with a big white head. I smell citrus, bread, and some light honey notes. Flavor is certainly tart, dry and some yeast. Nice beer on a hot day.

Bottled. Poured cloudy yellow, with a rocky white head that left plenty of lace on the glass. The nose was lemons, yeast, and spice. The flavor was lemondrops, coriander, and yeast with a dry, refreshing finish. A wonderful Saison.

bottle at louie’s. Man this is a great beer. Well balanced like the commercial description says. And understated. Aroma of yeast and floral hops. Wonderfully mild farmhouse flavor with dry finish.

Has anyone ever confused this with a hefeweizen? Color and palate seem very similar. I’ve had this beer plenty of times but my 1st rating of it when the beer is in front of me. Aroma is captivating. Some slight bitter and off flavors on the finish. Floral, hay, summer day in the mountains cool refreshing type of beer, yet still showing a lot of hops. Could see how this could be considered the model all other Saison’s are produced from. There is a weight and concentration I can’t remember any other Saison having. I believe the cork was branded with the year, 2008. Very nice feature.
