The moment the 750 ml bottle popped it summoned a German genie, Jens on my left. I spoke of love an politics he whistled and gestured with his hands while pruning a smile on my face. The story is I had a good time with this one. thickfreakness (130), AUSTIN, Texas, USA

Pours hazy gold with a fluffy "ice-cream scoop" like head that lasts for a long time. Smells of yeast, pepper, grain, slight funk. Tastes extremely nice. Refreshing and light flavors of yeast, pepper, malted grain, alight funk in a nice balance. Great saison.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 7, 2008 Cloudy bright gold color with a huge foamy and very persistent head. Complex nose with notes of wheat, bread, fruit, spices and a little grass. Similarly complex taste with a citrus like flavor up front followed by notes of pepper and other spices, light malts, a tartness, a slight sourness, and again, hints of grass. The flavors are very well balanced and nothing overwhelms anything else. A very pleasant sipping beer. Yummy. JCB (1767), Durham, North Carolina, USA

The hazy golden pour and the still, serene head are impressive. The aroma is delightful, with mild funk, yeast, lemon, and a dash of pepper - just what I want from a saison. The mouthfeel is very lively, and it tastes even better than it smells. It’s hard not to love this brew. 502Flavors (621), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 4, 2008 750. Honey brown pour and hazy with big fizzy white head. Aroma: citrus, wheat, tropical fruit. Flavor is the same but a little bit more tangy; no alcohol. Light and fizzy on palate. Overall: good and refreshing; a bit overrated, but good none the less (especially for summer). Swalden28 (1509), McKinney, Texas, USA

Pours a cloudy yellow with sediment, fizzy white head. Aroma of citris, similar to lemon. Flavor is of slight citris and white grape, similar to champaign. Mouthfeel is soft and high carbonation. Over all it is a preety good beer! ericandersnavy (1063), crossroads, Texas, USA

Pours light copper with huge egg white head and lots of carbonation, maybe a little too much. Smell and taste are quite strong sour, wheat and bitter. Quite complex and not bad.
