Commercial Description:
Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

750 ml bottle. One of my first saisons. A nice fruity funky aroma. Some spiciness to the flavor and a nice dryness. I’m a fan. Edit: This is such a great beer, and so widely available, how can you go wrong?

Cloudy golden pour with a small off white head. Banana and yeast on the nose mixed with a bit of spices. The yeast and spices come through in the taste as well. Slight bitter bite with a dry finish.

Very effervescent. Last time I tried it I couldn’t control the carbonation. Pours opaque gold. Tastes of banana and yeast. Ver nice.

75cl bottle from Total Wine (Jacksonville, FL). Rated on 2/23/08. Pours a cloudy golden color with thick, white head. Excellent head retention. Nose is hay, grass, spice, yeast, bread. Flavor is much of the same with notes of bread and yeast, honey, spice, and fresh grass. Light to medium-bodied with a crisp finish.

Bottle. Nice lemony aroma. Big, white foamy head and a nice cloudy yellow color. A really pleasant beer, the fruit tastes were clear without any cloying sweetness. The mouthfeel was clean and crisp. I could probably sit and drink this for hours on end.

Bottle: pours a cloudy copper color with an aroma of tropical yeast and bubble gum. Initial hop and yeast taste with medium carbonation yielding to a slight citrus flavor followed by a slight hop and yeast taste. This is very refreshing with the right amount of every ingredient. It would be hard to get sick of this beer.

Like Orval this beer is vastly underated. pours golden with some yeast sediment and a mountainous head, that stays forever. aroma is pear, apple, citrus, and an earthy dustiness. The flavor has many of the same things, citrus, earthiness, and a honied malt character in the begining of the drink. Finishes dry as can be. Beer also has lovely funkiness to it. Almost brett like, rich and very fruity. The hops also really shine in the dryness of this beer. Hoppy throughout but really coming through with nice bitterness and a slight citrus flavor throughout. Incredible beer, world class, and wish I had another.
