Commercial Description:
Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

375ml corked bottle served in a Duvel glass. Poured a pale gold with a huge white head. Clove and citrus in the aroma with some burnt sugar. Lots of spicy flavors. Light body, spritzy mouthfeel. Dry finish. Yeast seems to add more spice. Very refreshing. Nice beer.

750 ml bottle - thanks to after4ever or colin for this; i feel saisons coming on as a style to search out this summer as this was yet another great one; mildly cloudy and pale gold with huge white head; fruity and floral aromas; slightly creamy body and thick, deep flavors of yeast, fruit and slight spice; nose is just about perfect

Update 10/16/09: 750 ml bottle; 2009 on the cork; hazy straw gold with fluffy white head; intoxicating nose of fruity sweetness, fresh grass, lemons, yeasty goodness; earthy malts, fresh spice, cloves and apples; top notch nose; lovely carb level with creamy texture; flavor doesn’t live up to the nose in terms of popping with freshness; lovely, classic brew; $10 at local supermarkets might be one of the best deals around

Hazy golden pour, fairly dense white head with good retention. Very sweet, almost syrupy aroma in which tropical fruit and anise are prominent. Sweetness is lighter in the flavor which has a noticeable hop presence. Mouthfeel is light, carbonation tingles a little on the tongue at first. Overall well worth the experience.

(from notes)Hazy yellow straw color. Active head and carbonation. Sharp flowery sweet smell. Light hops, some yeasty tartness, and thin sweetness on the flavor. Superb brew.

Bottled, caged and corked. Shared with my wife who is starting to really enjoy Belgian beers, which is cool by me! Nice light aroma and some slight flavors of bananna and white peach with a nice yeast component. Very enjoyable beer we both think.

Hazy orange colored beer with a small white head. A lot of citrus, hops and malts aroma. Flavor is in the beginning sweet and a bit bitter. Than changes very quickly to a lagerbeer like maltiness. Very dry.

Eager to try but was not impressed. Hazy dull yellow. Slight sweet citrus aroma with yeast and bred on the pallet. A sourness and yeast sediment body that I just don’t like. Dry and some sourness towards the end. Won’t be sorry if I don’t have this again.

bottle. So far my least favorite of the very small amount of Belgian’s I have had. Nice aroma of light fruits.Very cloudy yellow.Taste was too yeasty for me.a mix of spice and sour fruit taste. I didn’t mind this brew but it left me with a sour beer face and tart mouth feel.
