| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 15, 2008 375ml bottle, cork dating 2006. Pours a pale amber gold soft, rocky, foamy clean white head, and a surprising amount of yeast (considering the beer is a bit older) sediment bobbing around under the high carbonation. Pleasantly skunky aroma hops are tempered with gently citric clove honey scent and some funky yeast character. Very effervescent on the palate yet still manages a smooth mouthfeel, while the palate is composed of cereal grain, light lemongrass, and a gentle herbal hop finish. Crisp and refreshing, a lovely saison. Ingy (100), candler, North Carolina, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Feb 13, 2008 tap, cloudy golden color. Refreshing orange peel dryness with nice balance of tart and sweet fruit. Would be great on a warm summer day. Nice finish, great saison! VitaminR (438), Colorado, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Feb 12, 2008 Fruity, spicy aroma. Huge long-lasting head. Looks like an amber-colored Wit. Complex, yet easy flavors. Some nice bitterness, little sour, great sweetness to balance it all. Full body, with the carbonation and alcohol cutting through. My first introduction to the Saison style. Fantastic! VacaBeerDude (19), Vacaville, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 9, 2008 12.7 fl. oz. bottle. Beer pours a golden brown with a large, long lasting head. Aromas of citrus, hops, and herbs dominate. First swallow caught me with a bit of bitterness in the finish. However, each successive swallow revealed a mellow complexity that was very satisfying and refreshing. Lacing was extraordinary. For a Belgian ale, the low ABV was different, but still fine. The lively carbonation continued to the bottom of the glass. Those who appreciate unfiltered beer will love the high quantity of "goodies" floating about in the brew. Overall, very enjoyable and an ale to which I will return. Slayer85 (585), Firenze, Italy
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Feb 9, 2008 Updated: May 1, 2009750 ml bottle. A hazy golden beer with a big, lacing and quiyte persistent white head. The aroma is complex with notes of pepper, cloves, orange peel, fruits and earth, The hops are surely present with their herbal, grassy charachter. Veri inviting nose. The flavour is complex too, spicy, fruity, with earthy notes. Light refreshing acidity. Great mouthfeel, medium body, lively carbonation, dry and long lasting finish with medium bitterness. I expected a lot from this beer and my hopes haven’t been betrayed, Saison Dupont is both complex and drinkable, flavourful and quenching and at a relatively low ABV. Excellent, you can’t stop drinking this. Fantomasus (122), USA

Wow. Pours a cloudy gold yellow. Smells of fresh saw mill, malt, hops, and yeast. Wonderful balance of sweet freshness and hops/alcohol. A straight forward highly drinkable brew that exudes vibrance and freshness. This might be my favorite beer. daniellerose7 (119), new york, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 4, 2008 A sour smell that is also present in the taste. Huge thick head, nice consistency, but I wasn’t that impressed by the flavor. Sort of bland and woody I thought, with hints of citrus fruits.
