| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 25, 2009 Sampled at a craft beer tasting at Curly’s Bar and Grill in Glen Ellyn, IL.. Poured a cloudy, straw hue with a fizzy, white head and spotty lacing. The aroma was meaty yeast and some floral and spice notes. The flavor added some lemon grass, light hop bitterness, just a hint of tartness, and high carbonation. The finish was pleasantly dry. A benchmark for the style. patrickfannon (346), Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 4, 2009 750 ml. Picked up at Macs on Spring and West Peachtree. I am sure this bottle has been sitting in the store forever! Cheap pale lager look, but with a very fluffy head! Slightly orange, but leans more towards the straw color. Grassy yet subtle fruit aroma as well?! Slight yeast flavor, that slowly comes through. Grass starts to disappear and the fruits start to come through more as the beer warms up. Fairly nuanced aroma. Wow, some live carbonation on that one. Has a nice fruit flavor that turms into a spice and mellow bitterness. Finishes slightly bitter with some yeast. Fairly dry finish. Not very creamy, but I haven’t tried many saisons that are overly so. Leaves some decent lacing. Overall, pretty good. I haven’t tried this in years. mspindler (318), Alta Loma, California, USA
