Commercial Description:
Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

Poured into tulip from bottle. Very foamy appearance and full mouthfeel. Robustly earthy and grassy with a hint of sourness and clear fruit tones, but the fruit is of faint apples and farmhouse cider, in no way a strong or intense citrus or berry aroma. I may appreciate this yet more with further bottles down the line. Enjoyable and could see this pairing with a wide variety of foods.

750 Bottle. 2007 vintage. Pours darkish golden with thick bubbly head. Aroma is fresh-smelling yeast and a just a tinge of spiciness, very bright aroma. Flavor is light bread, very mild yeastiness and a wallop of flowery, perfumey hops. Some earthiness, perhaps from the yeast, just barely noticeable in the background. Tingling bitterness lingers in the finish.

I heard so much about this beer, I just thought it could not be that good. Holy shit, this ione of the brews that is magnum opus! The aroma and frothy head of this brew is picture perfect. The first sip is perfect - fruity, yeasty, a little hoppy, a little earthy, a whole lotta godd!!! The best saison and one of the best beers in the world, period. It is without question, a fine fine product and I am SO craving another. Introudce this to your wife, co worker, friend and watch them drop that Chardonney glass.

Beer Nirvana. The aroma was fragrant yet subduded, the color a nice buttery translucent golden yellow. The head poured big and frothy like whipped cream and the laceing was beautiful. The delicate bubbles working their way from the bottom of the glass to the head was a pretty display of beer balet. Then there was the first sip. Beergasm! I may be new to Ratebeer and this whole beer tasting thing, but i’ve drank alot of diffent beers in my 44 years of life and let me tell you this is the best brew i’ve ever tasted. And i’m drinking a bottled example. I only bought this because some metrosexual fop of MensJournal.com said this was the best beer ever. Score one for the Metros! He was right. My only reget here is that I bought just one bottle. Now im jonesing for another like a crack addict who smoked his last rock.

Pours a slightly hazy gold with creamy white head. Aroma is complex -- tropical fruits, earthy hop notes, undefined spiciness. My bottle was lightstruck, too. Tastes similar to the aroma but dry, dry, dry.

Dura troppo poco.

750 ml bottle given to me by rebelbeerguy for my bday. About five seconds after I removed the cage the cork shot out of the bottle like a Peter North money shot so watch out. Pours with a HUGE white head over a slightly cloudy golden yellow body. Very nice aroma of wheat grass, citrus fruit, some earthly must and a slight touch of alcohol. Palate was very refreshing with a medium body and a very smooth feel and a crisp finish. Flavor of flowers, grass, citrus and earth. This was one of the most satisfing saisons I have ever had and was quite a suprise. I will definitely be enjoying this one again.
