Sep 7, 2009 Bottle pour.Beautiful hazy yellow color with very noticeable carbonation and a dense thick white head.The flavor was great with citrus,hops,and malt blending well together,Nice grassy,funky undertones.Long finish to this that was greatly enjoyed.Truly a great beer.

Sep 4, 2009 750 ml. Picked up at Macs on Spring and West Peachtree. I am sure this bottle has been sitting in the store forever! Cheap pale lager look, but with a very fluffy head! Slightly orange, but leans more towards the straw color. Grassy yet subtle fruit aroma as well?! Slight yeast flavor, that slowly comes through. Grass starts to disappear and the fruits start to come through more as the beer warms up. Fairly nuanced aroma. Wow, some live carbonation on that one. Has a nice fruit flavor that turms into a spice and mellow bitterness. Finishes slightly bitter with some yeast. Fairly dry finish. Not very creamy, but I haven’t tried many saisons that are overly so. Leaves some decent lacing. Overall, pretty good. I haven’t tried this in years.

Sep 2, 2009 On tap at The Back Abbey. Pours a hazy straw color with a rocky white head and champagne like carbonation. Aroma is spicy and yeasty with a touch of under ripe fruits. Flavor is citrusy with a very mild sweetness, a good deal of spice some earth and a good dry finish. Light to medium bodied with a lively palate.

Sep 1, 2009 ON tap @ Dunderbaks. Pours a hazy yellow. Nose is spicy Belgian yeast, clove, lemons, floral hops. Flavor is a rich spice mixture, very yeasty, bready, flowers, citrus fruit.

Aug 30, 2009 Bottle sampled at Dayton AleFest ’09. I’m not much of a saison fan but I think this is my favorite so far . Aroma is yeast, soap, fruits. Flavor is a refreshing, full of citrus and spices, with some yeast. Quite a dry finish. Pretty damn good.

Aug 30, 2009 My first saison. 750ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with a thin white lasting head. Lively carbonation and nice lacing. Aroma is very complex of spicy hops, biscuit malt, sweet fruit and citrus. Full body, very tangy mouth-feel. Peppery hops on the palate are balanced by biscuit malt and sweet fruit with hints of citrus. Finish is long and complex. Great beer.

Aug 28, 2009 On tap in a snifter. Smells and tastes like a wonderful Belgian. Huge esters and big spice. Wonderful.

Aug 28, 2009 Fruity aroma interspaced with notes of yeast, funk and a bit of must. Flavor was big on fruit and yeast with a lingering earthy, funky finish. Body was on the thin side. Overall a fresh saison.
