Pale brown-orange colour. Vague aroma, it has...nothing? Flavour is chocolatey and raisiny. Very 1-dimensional. Bit bitter. Be careful with that chocolate malt!
TEJA (71), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 14, 2008 High carbonation that gives a high foam that quickly dissapears. Some fruit, acidity and spices in the aroma toghether with yeast and dust.
Big hop bitterness that is too much for my taste in a saison. Small body and not sparkly enough. xibalba89 (91), New York, New York, USA Aug 7, 2008 Pours a cloudy orange brown with a big, fluffy head. Aroma is full of banana and light malts, like a less intense hefe-weizen. The flavor is good, nice and light... light malts and hints of yeast. The mouthfeel is fairly full, but there are some dead notes in the finish that could be less dry and prickly. A good beer, a bit of a blend of saisons and hefe-weizens. But not something I’ll bother with again. Busted_Flat (401), Edina, Minnesota, USA Jul 26, 2008 Poured cloudy dark golden. Aroma was sweet with honey notes. Flavor was sweet with butterscotch and brown sugar. Low carbonation. BoBoChamp (618), Gent, Belgium Jul 22, 2008 33cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, easy to drink, not complex, cloudy, good head, nice brew, but nothing special Nate (2212), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 14, 2008 From bottle at Village Tavern in Hammonsport. Very mild grainy aroma, with a bit of sweet candi sugar and dusty straw, mild cardboard. Light grassy hops. Cloudy light brown-amber, with thin off-white fizzy head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation. Starts with a bit of pils malt sweetness, light citrus bitterness, and dusty cardboard. Watery but not skunky or overly stale, but not crisp or punchy. Mild bitter finish but dull smooth after. Not a very good saison.
