Commercial Description:
Saku Abbey valmistamiseks kasutatakse spetsiaalselt valitud saksa humalaid, millest üht on eriliselt töödeldud aroomi intensiivistamiseks kibedust oluliselt tõstmata. Õlle kaunis kõrbepunane värv annab kõigile märku õllenautija heast maitsest.

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Dark yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Nice complex moderate bitter flavor. Average finish. Oily palate. Actually a nice beer from estonia. One of the best besides the porters.

0.5l bottle. Thick cream coloured head. Nice aroma. Sweetish, citrus like. Very pleasant. Little bit apricot. Reddish color. Palate is smooth, little carbonate. Flavor is colourful. Little bit sour, malts, fruits. Lively. This is actually decent ale. Might be the best estonian beer I have tasted so far.

Bottle, from Billund Vine. A deep red amber with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma has a tea quality to it, with a fruity and herbal feel. Very sweet flavour, quite dry and very spicy and herbal. There is more spicyness than actual fullness to it. A long coriander aftertaste. As Maria says, it’s not an Abbey!

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, amber golden with an off-white head. Sweetish, lightly perfumy nose. Medium body with sweetish, fruity accents. Almost no bitterness. Rather nice but not very Belgian in style. 120108

(Bottled) Clear, deep copper color with a smallish, mostly fading head. Witbier-spicy (coriander, lemon), soapy aroma with some bready maltiness. Quite original, sweetish, honey-flowery, toffee-malty flavor with some lime-lemony acidity and witbier spiciness. Medium-bodied, slicky palate with medium, smooth carbonation. A very strange brew - like Belgian amber ale mixed with witbier, and some lime thrown in. I’m not quite sure, who they are aiming this at... Well, at least it’s not cloying - but not an abbey beer, either.
