Flavoured beer is a trendy drink being enjoyed in clubs, trend bars and summer outdoor events, it’s becoming more and more popular all over Europe. Saku has now introduced this category to the Estonian market. Saku Dlight is a soft beer drink with a hint of lemon. It can be characterised as extremely refreshing, slightly carbonized beverage with light flavour and no characteristic beer aroma. Saku Dlight is bottled into a custom-made transparent 0.33 l glass bottle, labeled by a new kind of etiquette.

Bottled. Pale lime greenish colour, not much head. Aroma is lemon and hoppyness. Flavous is hops and kinda bitterish citrusfruits. Quite sour aftertaste. Atleast better than the Krombacher Cab Lemon...

Bottled. Light lime/green poison color, not much head. Light lemon aroma. Light. dry, a bit lemony flavor. Beer on the background is not very good. Sourness in the aftertaste.

Bottle. Golden greenish colour with a short fizzy head. Sweetish aroma of lemon indeed. Soft and rather mild sweet lemon maltish flavour. Refreshing lemon (beer) water.

Bottle. Frothy white good mostly deminishing head. Greenisch yellow colour. Bad artificial lemon aroma. Worse flavor, light acetic and very short finish. Extremely watery palate. Really a bad radler.

(Bottled) Slightly hazy, pale green color with a very small, lemonadey head. Aroma of sprite and dish-washing liquid. Sweet and acidic lemon-lime flavor with nothing (like hops) to connect it mentally with beers. Light-bodied, lemonadey-carbonated palate. I don’t drink lemonade, so why would I drink this?

If I’m not dehydrated, I piss this colour. It’s closest to being a shandy. However, it’s less refreshing than any lemonade, and devoid of anything that can be recognised as beer. So in simple terms it’s the worst shandy you’ll ever drink. No summer day is ever hot enough to make this a pleasure to drink. Everyone who works in marketting at Saku, please kill yourselves.

Bottle. Pale green? colour with a small white frothy head. Aroma and taste of artificial lemon. Not a good radler. Leaves you behind with an unpleasant after taste.

Small white head doesn’t last. Pale yellow body with carbonation. Lemony soda aroma with sugary notes. Sweetish-dry lemony paper taste with sugary notes. Light body. No aftertaste. Useless. (0.33l bottle, Õlletorn, Tallinn.)
