bottle: This beer reminds me of a player for the Montreal Canadiens who shares the same name. Saku Koivu is a dependable player with a good all around game, however, he does not posess the killer instinct necessary to be a top playoff performer. One could say that Koivu’s sweet side holds him back. Similarily, this beer is very drinkable and not offensive at all but it lacks the robust flavourings that would put it over the top. It pours a nice golen colour and smells mildly of hops. It initially tastes good on the palate but then shows its over abundant sweet side in the aftertaste. Not a playoff performer in my books.

bottle: Straight up, I’m not gonna roast this pale lager for being a pale lager! Not the most exciting beer I have had, but unlike macro brew crap at least it doesn’t lose its taste as it warms. Nice balance of malts & hops. A very typical lager: best cold, crisp finish, a nice sweet malt driving the way with no crazy hopping. Take it easy boys, this is a nice beer.

Canned 0,33L. Compact head of short resistance. Limpid and clear aspect, discreet fizz. Modest and meager scent; light notes of straw and dry grassy. Metallic and watery taste, much inconcistente and with determined bitter.
Thanks to mabjork for this beer.

Canned. Clear golden, fizzy head. Strong vegetable aroma. Sweet and sugary with offputting heavy adjunct flavour. Light bodied with hard mouthfeel. Completely useless.

Canned. Pale yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is hayish and malty. Flavour typical algerish. Wellbalanced, but is indeed more a "beer for the masses".

Can (BB 11/2005)
Pale yellow, decent white head. Rubbery, malty, harsh aroma. Sweet malty, soft mouthfeel. Finishing to harsh aftertaste. Decently malty, but otherwise quite a bulk lager.
