Commercial Description:
Saku's oldest beer.
Saku Hele is a light special brew with a strong taste of hops and a pleasant aroma, which has been developed together with Czech master brewers. Saku Hele is brewed according to one of Saku’s oldest recipes in honour of Valerian Baggo, the lord of Saku Manor, who established a truly industrial brewery from the manor’s small brewery.

Medium white lasting head. Yellow body with light carbonation. Hardly any aroma at all. Dryish papery mealy taste with resiny rubbery notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dry grassy mealy aftertaste. Boring. (0.5l bottle at Hell Hunt, Tallinn.)

Deep yellow lager with stale aroma. Sweetness and hops lead to boring alcoholic finish. Not special.

Bottle 0.5 l, Tallinn. Pale golden, thick white head. Hayish malty nose. Harshly bitter, dry and a bit sandy flavor with some maltiness in there. Not much aftertaste. Harsh, not very balanced. I would’ve guessed it’s a pilsner instead.

500ml Bottle- Pale golden in colour with a rich and white foamy head. The aroma is not very powerful but a little bit of malt and lemon can be detected. The taste is malty with a little hoppy element and the lemon featuring again. I guess this is the Estonian equivalent of a hoppy beer but that doesn’t say too much.
