Commercial Description:
Saku Jõulupruul sobib hästi nautimiseks pikkadel ja pimedatel talveõhtutel, et luua jõulusoojust ja pühademeeleolu. See on eriline pühadeks pruulitud õlu, mille shokolaadiga vürtsitatud karamelline maitse on tulvil rummi mahedust, röstitud kohviubade teravust ja vanilje sametist pehmust. Talve kargus ja jõulusoojus ühinevad siin täiuslikuks maitsenaudinguks. Saku Jõulupruul on meie õllemeistrite poolt pudelisse võlutud südamlik jõulusoov. Selle erilise pühadeks pruulitud õlle kangus on 5.5% ideaalne serveerimistemperatuur on tüüpiliselt tumedale õllele suhteliselt kõrge – 12-14 kraadi.

Bottle (50 cl), thanks gnoff. Clear copper with medium yellow-beige head. Strong dark milk chocolate aroma, with malt and some hops. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Well balanced with a dry finish. Very drinkable despite a lot of chocolate which never becomes overwhelming or cloying.

Clear deep dark red color, medium sized tan head. Nice, sweet, cocoa and milk chocolate scent. Medium sweet, cocoa, chocolate, a bit grainy taste. Smooth mouthfeel. Nice chocolate desert-ish.

Small light brown head. Deep brown body with light carbonation. Intense caramel pudding aroma with spicy cinnamon notes. Dry-sweetish intense chocolatey cinnamon taste with caramel and ginger notes. Mid-bodied. Dry cinnamon and chocolate aftertaste. Surprisingly good. Quite like it. (0.5l bottle from some Alkoholipood in Tallinn.)

Bottled. Deep rubyish brown colour, small yellowish beige head. Aroma is chocolate, some spices, mild notes of caramel malts and slight vanilla. Flavour is chocolate, coffee, caramel malts, some fruityness. Positive surprise, though the chocolate feels a bit artificial.

Bottled (BB 04/2009). Deep ruby color, good beige head. Cocoa, milk chocolate and bread in the nose. Also flavor has milk chocolate, cocoa and vanilla with kind of greasy mouthfeel. Fizzy carbonation. Quite nice beer from Saku, just lacking the hoppy side. Chocolate lager.

500ml bottle (random shop in Tallinn)
Rich reddy brown, glow-in-the-dark brief head. Sweet cocoa aroma. Anna gets raisins too. Taste is even more cocoaey, it tastes like uncooked chocolate cake mix. It actually made me laugh. That sits atop a sweet malty backdrop, but it’s definitely lacking in the hops department, there’s no crispness, and it ends up way too sweet, almost flat. A fun beer, but not a good beer. Could be tweaked to make it good though.

500ml Bottle - Dark brown/copper with red tinges. Chocolatey aroma with some fruity, malty and vanilla notes. Bittersweet taste with chocolate, raisins, caramel and a light fruit cake element. Not bad and more impressive than I expected.
