Commercial Description:
Saku Kuld – a modern classic, the absolute elite of Estonian beers, a combination of Saku’s hundreds-of-years-old brewing traditions, and the newest technology. With a rich taste, foam, and aroma, a delicate balance of freshness and mildness characterizes the taste of Saku Kuld. The freshness comes from Nordic oat malt and velvety smoothness is added to the refined bouquet by Hallertau hops. In addition, Saku Kuld is characterized by a clear colour and thick firm foam. Saku Kuld is sold in unique bottles with a relief of the Saku arms.

Bottled. Thanks Gnoff. Clear golden colour. Pale malty aroma with slight sweetness. All in all pretty clean. Light citric hints in aroma as well. Flawless flavour, with citrus, pleasant sweet maltiness. Low bitterness, if any.

Bottle. Clear golden with small white head. Sticky malt aroma with resemblance of arm pit sweat, and some artificial citric notes. Thin and watery, spritzy, sweet with low bitterness.

0,5l bottle. White light head, golden lager color. Aroma is metallic, hint of hops. Palate is refreshing and feels brisk at mouth because of the decent amount of bubbles. Flavour is kinda disapointing, watery. Little bit sour. Can’t really distinguish any other flavour. I don’t mind Saku Kuld a refreshner after long walk on a hot day.

Bottled Clear pale golden, no head. Vague vegetable aroma. Sweet with hard mouthfeel. Some cloying syrup, stale butter and metal. The worst kind of industrial swill. Undrinkable!

(500ml can) Hoppy, sourish aroma. Light yellow appearance with a pretty nice head. Soft, a little malty flavor. Surprisingly balanced, but still watery. An average lager.

Draught in Estonia. Typical lager color and thin white head. An Ok beer. I remember that it was quite an easy drink and refreshing but was watery and tastewise not having much going either for or against it.
