Oct 19, 2007 Pours brown with a nice ruby red glint to if when held up to the light. Smells of roasted malt, chcocolate, some dark fruit, hints of licorice. Tastes sweet with some figs, chocolate, some peppery splashes, some lirocice and cloves. Very solid brew!

Oct 15, 2007 Updated: Nov 21, 2008An excellent porter and by far and away the best beer in Saku’s portfolio in my view. The taste and aroma is very malty along with some caramel and cinnamon on the nose with a little bit of coffee. The taste is malty and very warming with coffee and a hint of plain chocolate! I just wish they produced this all year round as sometimes the supplies do not last the year!

Aug 23, 2007 Bottle from Tbone_. Almost opague. Coffee, licorice and cinnamon in the aroma. Thinnish, but a nice roast flavor with cacao and coffee. Hint of licorice in the aftertaste. Fine Baltic porter.

Jul 19, 2007 500. Thanks, TheWolf! Pours dark opaque black with a thick, sudsy, moussy tan head. No lace to speak of. Big sour milk chocolate nose. Dark fruit there, too, maybe plums. Big bubbly attack, with plenty of flavor and a nice, slightly oily body. Chocolate and dark fruit all over the place again on the mid-palate. Clingy, slightly sour and tannic finish. Aluminum and brown apples there? Maybe...a beer shipped in July could suffer that fate. Tasty but not a mind-blower.

Jul 15, 2007 From a bottle, thanks oh6gdx. The body was black with an orangeish khaki head. The aroma was chocolate with some amaretto liquer. There were also some pears. The taste was apricots with some light milk chocolate notes. Some caramel notes kick in later. Low carbonation. The body was fairly thin and slick, especially for the abv. A nice Baltic Porter.

Jul 13, 2007 Clear black colour, has a creamy head, mostly lasting. Aroma has bread and roasted notes. Flavor mainly sweet. Finish perhaps a bit bitter.
