Saku Rock Platinum Edition

Canned(500ml). -Pale golden coloured, medium sized airy head. Lively carbonation. The aroma is sweet malty, weak hoppy and bready with strong sugar presence. Slight alcoholic finish.

Poured a gold body on top of which perched a medium to big sized head that went away fast. The nose is very, very odd. Sweet maltiness, a bit eggy, and a prominent, a bit orangey odd perfumey aroma. Never smelled anything like that in a beer. Anyway, the taste is a bready voind with just a touch of sulphur, malt and some weak nondescript hopiness that lasts long into the aftertaste. The can claims that this contains "adjuncs". How cute. Is this different from the regular Rock?

Can. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Light hoppy citrus aroma.OK bitter flavor, a bit harsh short finish, but at least there are some taste in this one. Watery palate.

Pale yellow color with small head. Sharp flavor somewhat synthetic, alcoholic and metallic.

Canned. Pale golden colour, mediumsized fluffy head. Aroma is metallic, salty and harsh hoppy. Flavour is metallic, harsh hoppy and a rather saltyish finish. Also some vegetables noteable. Boring, plain and one-dimensional.

Can (BB 01/2007). Golden color, small white head. Vegetably, light hoppy, alcoholic, plastic aroma. Typical Saku-product: grainy malty, slightly alcoholic, mostly clean but uninteresting bulk lager.
