Commercial Description:
Bohmisch Gemischt means Bohemian Mix. The brew is to be typed between a Austrian Helles and a Austrian Dunkles. The Austrian versions of both types are less hoppy than the German versions.

Draught at the brewpub
Hazy brown color; creamy head. Light roasted malt aroma. Lean boadied, it has more dry, lightly roasted malt flavor than else. Average, not bad but boring.

Draught @ Salm. Clear dark reddish brown with good beige head. Little aroma. Medium body, very well carbonated. Very little taste - watery dark malt and nothing else detectable (but note that watery only applies to the taste, the body is quite substantial). Not bad, but disappointingly very bland.

My Bottom Line:
Toasted and caramel malts benefit from berry-like fruitiness to diversify this cheery and sweet Dunkel.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-The cloudy dark red is topped by a creamy head of foam.
-This is quite Polotmavé-like!
-The finish recalls French toast and earthy dryness.
-The mouthfeel is round and chewy yet very easygoing.
-This is sweeter than any other Slam brew I have had.

On tap at the brewpub.

Draught at the brewpub. Dark chestnut colour, seems clear. Small tan head. The flavour is nicely roasted, mild and well-balanced. Low bitterness. Good rye bread note in the finish.

Fad på brewpubben. Colafarvet og uklar med et råhvidt skum. Dufter af karamel, toffee, ristet rugbrød og malt. smager af rugbrød og ristet malt. Let humlet og let karboneret.

on tap at the brewpub. coke colour, no haze, faint off-beige head. sweet aroma of prunes, more like a schwarzbier than a bohemian dunkel, faint molasses but finishes fairly dry, balanced and quite alright
