Sep 22, 2009 On tap at the brewpub on my last night in Vienna. Nice location near Belvedere. Color was a cloudy dull gold. Aroma of sweet malt and bread. Flavor was bready, cirsp with some sweet malt. Nice and soft on the palate. Good for the style.

This perilously drinkable unfiltered Helles is proof there is purity in simplicity. Crisp straw, herbal hops, healthy dextrins, all in unison, all honest. Wow.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A thick head of foam decorates the hazy straw blond.
-The creamy mouthfeel just keeps on giving.
-Is it me or there are some tropical fruit allusions in the interplay of residual sugars and hops?
-Effervescence lightens the mouthfeel.
