Light hazy, amber colour, off-white head, good lace. Light citric, sweet, light bitter, fruity, soft hops. Easy going but there’s not much to get excited over. Too sweet and it could use a few hops. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 19, 2008 Thanks to Brother Larry and Anna for this pint--Poured a rich deep mahogany-amber body with a creamy thin beige head. Inviting creamy nose balanced out with a mild floral hoppiness. Grainy, semi-sweet, bitter, and creamy just like a true English ESB. Alcohol presence comes to light about 2/3 the way through this beer. Subtle but bold. Good beer! Earlier Rating: 5/18/2008 Total Score: 3.2 On tap at Salmon Creek in Vancouver, Washington--Crisp, semi-sweet beer that poured a medium amber -copper bosy with a two-finger white head. Biscuity, clean, and estery. Yum! beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA

This had a wonderful dry malt character, some bitterness and a wonderful tea character, with a very gentle level of hoppiness. Nicely done.
