Dark beer with mahogany highlights and a loose off white head. Nose of rich cocoa powder followed by an intense BITTER chocolate taste that mellows to a long dry bitter finish. a little thin but a nice pint

Feb 6, 2008 Cask (gravity) @ The National Winter Ales Festival 2008, Manchester, UK. Clear medium to dark brown color with a small, fizzy - virtually none appearance, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, chocolate, light vanilla. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (170108)

Dark dark brown with no head. Lovely sweet smoky malt aroma with chocolate and vanilla. Rich coffee and chocolate flavour with a pronounced bitterness. Big lashings of dark malt. Bitter chocolate finish. Bloody good.

Dec 27, 2007 Cask @ The Pommeler’s Rest, JDW, Southwark. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Roasted malty chocolate aroma. Sweet roasted malty chocolate flavor. Sweetish malty chocolate finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.
