Commercial Description:
It took 2 years of brewing, tasting and testing to come up with the final recipe for Sam Adams Light. We focused on brewing a flavorful, high quality beer with a light-bodied taste and fewer calories. Sam Adams Light is a unique beer, it's not a lighter version of our Boston Lager. Sam Adams Light is the only light beer that uses no adjuncts and a traditional brewing process to ensure a balance of flavor and light-bodied taste. No other domestic light beer uses only the four classic ingredients of beer: pure water, lager yeast, Noble hops and barley malt. The quality ingredients that make up Sam Adams Light include two-row malt and some of the most expensive hops in the world, Spalt Spalter Noble hops. At 128 calories, Sam Adams Light features a clean finish and no aftertaste.

Not bad at all for a light beer. Watery, but all light beers are is beer + water (and sometimes the original beer is damned close to water itself). This has a little bit of a thing some American macro-brewers have never heard of called HOPS. They’re a pretty decent thing to add to a beer, believe it or not. Amber color, white head. Drinkable.

copper colored, medium white head, nicely lacy. malty, touch of grain in nose. sweet malt with a trace of hops in the flavor. medium bodied, dry finish. a good light beer, which is to say much too mild to be a good beer.

I’m not one for light beers, but this was surprising good. Little aroma ( as is typical of light beers), clear color and crisp flavor. Some and hops are detectable. Clean finish. Overall, a good representation of a light beer, especially since it was done without the use of rice adjuncts.

Best Light beer that I have ever had, Period! Nice carmel color, good malt aroma and taste. Small white head, and some lacing. Very impressed that this is a light beer, I am constantly amazed at the brewmasters at Sam Adams. It is a light beer, and for that I give it high marks.

At one time I was not a fan of Sam Adams peiod. However this was the beer that turned me back onto the brand. The beer pours a nice caramel color with a nice rich head. It has a good balance of barley and hops flavor and goes down very easy. Hands down it is my favorite light beer to drink when I drink light beer.

Light amber with a light malty aroma and a little hop. Flavor is light malt, slightly metallic. Better than most light lagers.

Miami Beach bottle - tastes lightly of beer! not as awful as Macro light beers but it’s kind of half-assed in the body and flavors like something has been ripped out of a passable micro lager. It’s sweet and lacks hops with no real other defined tastes.

Very Good for a light beer probably one of the better light beers out there. Very close to sam adams boston lager with a little less alcohol and flavor content. My wifes fovorite light beer.
