Commercial Description:
It took 2 years of brewing, tasting and testing to come up with the final recipe for Sam Adams Light. We focused on brewing a flavorful, high quality beer with a light-bodied taste and fewer calories. Sam Adams Light is a unique beer, it's not a lighter version of our Boston Lager. Sam Adams Light is the only light beer that uses no adjuncts and a traditional brewing process to ensure a balance of flavor and light-bodied taste. No other domestic light beer uses only the four classic ingredients of beer: pure water, lager yeast, Noble hops and barley malt. The quality ingredients that make up Sam Adams Light include two-row malt and some of the most expensive hops in the world, Spalt Spalter Noble hops. At 128 calories, Sam Adams Light features a clean finish and no aftertaste.

Light amber in color. Malty sweet smell. Fuller body than any other light beer I.ve had. Even has a hint of hops. If they would put it in a can it would be my goto lawnmower beer.

Crystal clear caramel color with a thin whitish head a metallic tinny thin caramel malt aroma. Taste is a thin metallic Boston Lager. This is great for a light beer but not really that light as far as calories go. Just take the extra 100-200 calories and have a good beer.

Really light??? [Eyes] Clear, light yellow with a nice white head. [Nouse] a little notes of malts with a touch of spicy hops. [Mouth] smoooth bready malts at the start with a a good remix of noble hops... a dry finish. In mouth is fresh soft and smooth. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-28-2008 12:55:30

Pours a golden color with ligh head. Light aroma. Not that great but much better than most light beers especially all the macros. Will drink again if need a light beer for any reason.

Bad tasting, bad smelling, but still a whole hell of a lot better than the other swill that bills itself as "light" beer. Sadly also far more expensive than those.

Bottle. Pours a light golden-amber with a thin white head that quickly subsides. Has a light malt taste with some sweetness and a bitter finish. Very clean aroma, with some malt coming through. Is basically a watered down version of the Boston Lager. For the price it is not that good, even for a light beer. On a side note, I thought this beer tasted much better in the bottle than poured into a glass.
