Commercial Description:
It took 2 years of brewing, tasting and testing to come up with the final recipe for Sam Adams Light. We focused on brewing a flavorful, high quality beer with a light-bodied taste and fewer calories. Sam Adams Light is a unique beer, it's not a lighter version of our Boston Lager. Sam Adams Light is the only light beer that uses no adjuncts and a traditional brewing process to ensure a balance of flavor and light-bodied taste. No other domestic light beer uses only the four classic ingredients of beer: pure water, lager yeast, Noble hops and barley malt. The quality ingredients that make up Sam Adams Light include two-row malt and some of the most expensive hops in the world, Spalt Spalter Noble hops. At 128 calories, Sam Adams Light features a clean finish and no aftertaste.

Pours out a nice orangy amber with a fairly thick off-white head. Aroma is rather weak, lager-crisp and not particularly inspiring. Flavor is typical of a lager, fairly malty and a bit watery with a wan hoppy undertone. Texture is smooth and a little tingly. Definitely not Sam Adam’s best - but better than other light beers I have tried.

Pretty good light beer. From the bottle, pours golden copper with a white fizzy head. Smells light and sweet with some hints of hops. Tastes mostly malty, alot of hops in the bitter dry finish. Has some of the most flavor of most light beers.

~Pours a light copper color with small white head. ~Malty scent with light hops. ~Light sweet flavor, mostly malts in flavor. ~Light to medium feel, quick sweet finish. ~My favorite "light" labeled beer to date!

Had a 5oz. sample and thought its was alriight, not much flavor but good. This beer would be great for chugging because its like drinking water, no aftertaste and the little taste it has is good.

Absolutely the best light beer I’ve ever tried. Better than the big three’s lights by far. Still like all light beers it leaves you wanting more. It definately has more flavor than any other light beer, but the finish is still to watery.

Sam Adams Light is the best light beer I have ever drank. While kept in a dark brown bottle, the color is a light golden yellow with a very thin white head. The aroma is sweet and full of malt compared to the corn and metal characteristics of other light beers. The flavor is suprisingly good with sweet malty characteristics. The finish has light hop traces that are distinct, yet not overwhelming. My rating has been inflated because of the success in making a light beer so flavorfull!

Ambey pour with no head and a little froth. Aroma is quite skunky, not pleasant, taste is thin, slighlty bitter, not great. Sam Adams do some good beers, this isn’t one of them in my opinion.

Bottle pour-my house. A good beer with a great marketing campaign. Pours a nice amber. Malt/hops balance is very nice up front. Not much of a finish/aftertaste. I like it a bit more than the Boston Lager.
