Commercial Description:
It took 2 years of brewing, tasting and testing to come up with the final recipe for Sam Adams Light. We focused on brewing a flavorful, high quality beer with a light-bodied taste and fewer calories. Sam Adams Light is a unique beer, it's not a lighter version of our Boston Lager. Sam Adams Light is the only light beer that uses no adjuncts and a traditional brewing process to ensure a balance of flavor and light-bodied taste. No other domestic light beer uses only the four classic ingredients of beer: pure water, lager yeast, Noble hops and barley malt. The quality ingredients that make up Sam Adams Light include two-row malt and some of the most expensive hops in the world, Spalt Spalter Noble hops. At 128 calories, Sam Adams Light features a clean finish and no aftertaste.

The best light beer i’ve ever tried. You would not know it was a light beer by the taste. A good clear amber-orange color. Good malt and hop presence.

May be the best light beer I’ve tasted. There is a maltiness to it that you don’t get with other light beers. Clean finish.

For a light beer this is as good as it gets. Don’t get me wrong I’m not replacing my Guiness for Sammy Light but if I ever decide that I need a diet this will be my beer of choice.

Bottle. Pours clear orange, thin white head. Aroma is malt and hops (grassy). Flavor is the same. Tastier than most light beers, but still not hot.

What can I say? It’s light. Light, light, light. The flavors conjure up some pleasant nuttiness, but that’s about it.

This is another beer tasted at Blue Ridge Beverage Distributors. This was the only Light beer we tasted. The color is clear amber. the head was frothy white. There was more taste than in normal Light beers. It may be the only worth drinking.

I was totally wrong on this one after my first rating. Went back a few months later and had a completly different take. In catagory it is probably one of the better lights out there e- I can’t think of a better one.

This is easily my favorite light beer. It has a good set of hops in it that doesn’t weigh it down as some of the other Sam Adams brews. I also like that it maintains the rich ruby brown color of the Boston lager.
