Commercial Description:
It took 2 years of brewing, tasting and testing to come up with the final recipe for Sam Adams Light. We focused on brewing a flavorful, high quality beer with a light-bodied taste and fewer calories. Sam Adams Light is a unique beer, it's not a lighter version of our Boston Lager. Sam Adams Light is the only light beer that uses no adjuncts and a traditional brewing process to ensure a balance of flavor and light-bodied taste. No other domestic light beer uses only the four classic ingredients of beer: pure water, lager yeast, Noble hops and barley malt. The quality ingredients that make up Sam Adams Light include two-row malt and some of the most expensive hops in the world, Spalt Spalter Noble hops. At 128 calories, Sam Adams Light features a clean finish and no aftertaste.

Good light lager to session- beats your average macros at an affordable price. Decent taste and good body for a lager.

Clear golden color. Head lingers longer than most light beers, but still dissipates quickly. Good amount of carbonation. Bready, malty and hoppy aroma. Light-bodied, crisp taste. Great light beer, especially in the summer!

Picked up single 12-oz bottle at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a clear golden straw brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a thin ring. Aroma of light bready malt and a touch of citrus hops. Taste is light bodied, some carbonation with typical light low-carb beers without the corn malt flavor. Finish is light crisp, clean cut with no aftertaste. It’s nice to have a low-carb beer without the watery corn malt flavor for once.

I’m not a fan of Sam Adams, but I like Sam Adams Light because it’s a watered down version of the Lager. Why pay $8 for a 6-pack of light beer?

Bottle. Passable if no other option- a little better than I thought it would be. Just a lighter version of Boston Lager- lighter color, more malty/sweet, less hops. Significantly better than a Miller Lite or Bud Light no question, but it still lacks that full, complex, richness of a non-light beer.

THe best light beer hands down. The Ron Paul of Light beer’s. The only negative is the relatively low alcohol content.
