Commercial Description:
It took 2 years of brewing, tasting and testing to come up with the final recipe for Sam Adams Light. We focused on brewing a flavorful, high quality beer with a light-bodied taste and fewer calories. Sam Adams Light is a unique beer, it's not a lighter version of our Boston Lager. Sam Adams Light is the only light beer that uses no adjuncts and a traditional brewing process to ensure a balance of flavor and light-bodied taste. No other domestic light beer uses only the four classic ingredients of beer: pure water, lager yeast, Noble hops and barley malt. The quality ingredients that make up Sam Adams Light include two-row malt and some of the most expensive hops in the world, Spalt Spalter Noble hops. At 128 calories, Sam Adams Light features a clean finish and no aftertaste.

Pours a deep golen color with a fairly nice white head. Aroma is slightly yeasty. Taste is what I would expect from a light beer, a little warey, A touch of hopps. Ok for a light beer.......

This is a nice hoppy light beer. Compared to other light beers there is so much more flavor and bitterness and it is not as watery as other light beers. It has a nice bitter sweet flavor with mild hops.

12 oz bottle. Light amber in color with a small off white head. Aroma is grainy with light pale malts and very slightly bready. Taste is sweet light pale malts, with very sublte notes of fruit- cherry, lightly bready with a very light hop bitterness in the finish. Smooth and actually pretty enjoyable. the best commercial bottled light beer that I have had.

Man i have to say that this beer is excellent for a lighter beer. I will reach for this before alot of stuff sometimes when i just want a quick brew. Good and malty yet nicely balanced with some hops. To hell with the rating on this one this stuff is pretty good.

This is one of my favorite beers, and I don’t mean just among light beers. Unlike most light beers this one doesn’t taste like piss water. It goes down smooth but still has great taste. Highly recommended.

Considering this is a light beer, and meant to be a light beer, I’m rating it based upon all the other "light" beers. Definitely one of the very bests, pours nice amber color with decent head and lacing. Aromas are muted a little, but mostly of malt and light citrus. Taste is predominately malty, nicely done, with a slight hops bitterness, and finishes clean. This beer would be amazing if more hops were used and they all weren’t noble. Very, very good attempt at a light beer.

12 oz bottle. Drank this one a little warmer than I should have. Not too bad for a light beer.
