Prevelant carmel malt taste. Pretty malty. Decent hop finish, not very strong though. OK light beer. riversideAK (2727), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | May 16, 2007 Slightly sweet caramel malty. Some adjunct grain as well. Pours amber with a small white head. Flavor is semi sweet caramel malt, sweet adjunct flavor, water, and a mild finishing crispness. Extremely watery and light. Unimpressive, but I guess it could be worse. polomagnifico (534), Saginaw, Michigan, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 10, 2007 12oz bottle. Aroma is weak at first (since it was served super cold) but has a little malt and hops in there. Small, mostly diminishing, frothy off-white head that left a fair lace. Normal clarity with a body that is light/medium yellow/amber. Flavor kind of sweet and bitter with a short finish. Lively, watery palate. The best light beer I’ve ever had and I do love Sam Adams but it’s kind of a tease. I want more of that flavor, aroma and everything else but it’s a light beer so it won’t put out. I just don’t get light beers. AOF (282), Naperville, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 8, 2007 Deep amber in color, little to no head when poured from the bottle. Aromas are soft and sweet, some maltiness but little else. Light in body and somewhat watery. Way better than all other light beers, but not very good in general. alobar (1017), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 6, 2007 Pours a clear amber color with no head. Mild aroma of hops and yeast. Taste is mild hops, bread, malts... Best light beer I’ve ever had. That’s not saying much. bbp182 (255), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | May 2, 2007 I’ve had Miller and Coors lite, and they suck, no flavor, yellow, crappy. But sam adams light is the best, i repeat, THE BEST light beer ever. For a light beer, it’s the best I’ve had. natejgood (189), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 27, 2007 This beer pours a light golden color and had a light white head that dissipates quickly. It seems to have a lot of carbination coming up from the bottom of the glass. It smells of mildly sweet hay. I can’t say I’m overyly impressed with the flavor of this beer. It certainly has more taste that most light American beers, but it is no where neer as good as the Boston Lager. It has a bit of a spicy flavor, but it is very light. Maybe the best way to describe it would be a bud light with a little more flavor. For a light beer this is fine, but nothing special. Compared to a full bodied beer and most of the other Sam Adams beers this is a little disappointing. BrewDad (2370), Olympia, Washington, USA

A golden color with a nice head. This has a malty taste with a very light hoppy flavor. Very light in hops which makes this much like a light lager. It is crisp as an ale should be so this is not too bad. Very tasty and very good. I will have another.
