Commercial Description:
It took 2 years of brewing, tasting and testing to come up with the final recipe for Sam Adams Light. We focused on brewing a flavorful, high quality beer with a light-bodied taste and fewer calories. Sam Adams Light is a unique beer, it's not a lighter version of our Boston Lager. Sam Adams Light is the only light beer that uses no adjuncts and a traditional brewing process to ensure a balance of flavor and light-bodied taste. No other domestic light beer uses only the four classic ingredients of beer: pure water, lager yeast, Noble hops and barley malt. The quality ingredients that make up Sam Adams Light include two-row malt and some of the most expensive hops in the world, Spalt Spalter Noble hops. At 128 calories, Sam Adams Light features a clean finish and no aftertaste.

one of my favorite light beers. amazing, surprising taste. The aroma is that of any normal light beer, as is the palate. No definite aftertaste... and also not similar to boston lager.

Decided to try this because I didn’t want a heavy beer. Tasted like a light Boston Lager, but with a stale, cheap grainy component added in.

Bottle Cold Lager Glass. Pretty tasty for a light lager, good taste for a light probably one of the best beers I have that is considered a light beer.

Bottle, poured into pilsner glass. Poured amber not piss yellow like most light beers. Actually has malty flavor that is very smooth with no aftertaste. If I was ranking this just against other light beers, this would have gotten much higher rating, but I’m rating it among all beers. Definitely not a lighter version of the Boston Lager, tastes totally different.

Poured an amber color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma is fairly boring, faint malts, some toffefe, and citrus. Taste of more toffee malts, with a light hop bitterness. Smooth, but not offensive at all.

Bottle sampled. Pours amber with a white head. Aroma of sweet malts, noble hops, and barley. The flavor is mildly bitter, sweet malts, great light beer.

Bottle. Aroma is faintly barley. Like most light beers, this has a predominantly watery taste. All in all, the best of the light beers.

Huh. A drinkable light beer. Startling. Actually has an aroma, of light wheat, barley, and hops. A tad watery, but nothing like most lights. Not a bad lawnmower brew.
