Commercial Description:
It took 2 years of brewing, tasting and testing to come up with the final recipe for Sam Adams Light. We focused on brewing a flavorful, high quality beer with a light-bodied taste and fewer calories. Sam Adams Light is a unique beer, it's not a lighter version of our Boston Lager. Sam Adams Light is the only light beer that uses no adjuncts and a traditional brewing process to ensure a balance of flavor and light-bodied taste. No other domestic light beer uses only the four classic ingredients of beer: pure water, lager yeast, Noble hops and barley malt. The quality ingredients that make up Sam Adams Light include two-row malt and some of the most expensive hops in the world, Spalt Spalter Noble hops. At 128 calories, Sam Adams Light features a clean finish and no aftertaste.

Bottle sampled. Pours amber with a white head. Aroma of sweet malts, noble hops, and barley. The flavor is mildly bitter, sweet malts, great light beer.

Bottle. Aroma is faintly barley. Like most light beers, this has a predominantly watery taste. All in all, the best of the light beers.

Huh. A drinkable light beer. Startling. Actually has an aroma, of light wheat, barley, and hops. A tad watery, but nothing like most lights. Not a bad lawnmower brew.

I had a 12 oz bottle of this Saturday night (10/28/2006) at a friend’s Halloween/50th Birthday Party... It might say "light" on the label, but this is not the typical "light" beer. This one actually has aroma, flavor, and mouthfeel. It’s just about like the Sam Adams Boston Lager in everyway, except scaled back a bit.... Light orange/copper color. Moderate carbonation and a decent white head. Light malt and light mild hoppiness. Lighter body, but no where near watery. Probably one of the best light brews out there.

light golden color with a descent size white head very light lager aroma and taste better than most light beers. I personaly do not like light beers because there is hardly any flavor, but by far this has more than any other light beer.

Clear light amber, small white head. Stale beer aroma. Reminds me of the the morning after smell of a house party. Light caramel flavor. Watery. Not good but still better than most light beers.

Light golden color with an OK lager aroma. Taste is light, not disgusting, but not much of it. Probably the best "light" beer around, but why bother with light beers?

Light aroma, barely detectable. Smells lightly of malts. Beautiful clear light-golden tint. Flavor is very light, almost no bitterness. Malts detectable but not great in number. Great carbonation.
