Commercial Description:
It took 2 years of brewing, tasting and testing to come up with the final recipe for Sam Adams Light. We focused on brewing a flavorful, high quality beer with a light-bodied taste and fewer calories. Sam Adams Light is a unique beer, it's not a lighter version of our Boston Lager. Sam Adams Light is the only light beer that uses no adjuncts and a traditional brewing process to ensure a balance of flavor and light-bodied taste. No other domestic light beer uses only the four classic ingredients of beer: pure water, lager yeast, Noble hops and barley malt. The quality ingredients that make up Sam Adams Light include two-row malt and some of the most expensive hops in the world, Spalt Spalter Noble hops. At 128 calories, Sam Adams Light features a clean finish and no aftertaste.

This is one of the best light beers I have ever had. Its deffinitly a step above your typical bud or miller. Although a good sam adams lager is better. A very good summer beer though!

i really liked this. maybe because one of my favorite bars runs specials on this. as far as ’light’ beers go this is very tasty. i think it’s better than the regular lager. it has a nice hearty body and a very clean finish. you know the rest

The 12 ounce bottle poured a beautiful crystal clear amber beverage with a small white head that was mostly diminishing and left very little lacing on the glass. The aroma is light and delicate presenting malt characteristics primarily. There were also subtle notes of cotton candy and bubble gum in the background. The body was medium-light with lively carbonation and a crisp, dry texture. The flavor starts of with a light malt sweetness that lingers on the palate throughout the medium-long finish. A subtle bitterness makes itself known about half way through the finish. For a "light" beer this was very good.

Pours clear dark amber, thin head. This really taste like boston lager but watered down, you could get a lot of macro beer drinkers turned to the dark side with this beer, it’s better than any crap beer out there.

I really must try this next to other light beers, they say it competes with regular beers but they are sorely mistaken. Pours a health amber for a light beer, malt aroman is good but the beer just lags body.

Tastes like watered down Boston Lager. Actually has some real flavor at times, but then it’s washed away by clean, clear, pure water. If I thought there was any merit at all to the concept of a light beer, I’d say this was a good one. However, it is really just a mediocre beer spoiled.

I would say this light beer would be one of the best, I feel like a woman rating all of these light beers but I’m rating all that I’ve tried.

This was very clear but it was their Boston Lage with water or at least it tased like the lager with water. Not too great
