Commercial Description:
Created by Samuel Adams Employee Lili Hess, Hawaii This is a very creative spin on a pale ale. As Lili describes it, "It’s like you are drinking a pale ale after biting into a fresh green seedless grape." This delicate brew is light-bodied with unique sweet, yet dry flavors from the grapes. What a combination...

Bottle: The aroma is a combination of raisins, grapes, grain, and grass...a pretty unpleasant combo in my opinion. It pours a bright transparent amber with a moderate soapy off-white head. Weird combination of caramel and raisin up front. Finishes moderately grainy and lightly grassy. The flavors just don’t mesh and the graininess is very unpleasant. Light bodied with with mild carbonation. Pretty rough.

Very sweet pale ale.. this stuff is kind of a mess. Typical Sam Adams sweet sticky malts with some flavors of grape-skins, but not merged in a congruent way. Nice idea... bad execution.

I’m about half way through a glass and so far I’m thinking - no! It does have an interesting aroma - you can catch a hint of the grape but it’s not overpowering. The taste isn’t quite there though. Not terrible, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

This beer is an interesting Idea but just didn’t live up to the name. The bottle poured into a pint glass produce a good two finger worth of head that settles down to a film of lace. All this on top of a hazy golden body Smells like a pale ale poured into a glass that just had some white wine in it It’s sweet, extremely pale, pale ale I guess I was hoping for more of a grape presence here or something. I think the name did that along with the description on the bottle. It wasn’t a drain pour; its taste wasn’t all that memorable either Light bodied, with plenty of carbonation for your tongue I did finish the three I had but I wouldn’t buy it again there are better pale ales and better fruit beers out there ( I wish the Weizenbock was sold separately )

Bottle - pours a nice copper color with faint grape hints in the aroma. Light bodied and almost refreshing. With definite hints of grape in the flavor. Not bad at all.

bottle. I remember liking this one more at the GBAF. Descent Pale with a funky grape flavoring. It was odd and out of place. Hey, If I could brew it I’d have no problem drinking it. Congrats to the winner.

Smells faintly of bitter hops, very faint sour notes, like grape skins. Taste is very mediocre pale ale followed by a very faint...something. I wouldn’t call it grape but its different. Not very good

Bottle. Hint of the grapes in the aroma, but hardly any hint of pale ale. Where are the hops? Flavor is much of the same. Kind of blah, little linger of grape after the slight malty fizz, once again not much hops for a pale ale.
