GG (1612), NorCal, California, USA Mar 18, 2008 Easily my least favorite Longshot beer to date. I mean, honestly...it really lacked any Pale Ale character and was really more akin to a Pale Lager in flavor and finish. An aroma of...of...well, not much actually. Perhaps a slight bit of malty sweetness but aside from that vague description...not much. Appearance was a clear, reddish brown color with a one-finger thick head. Flavor had some sour graininess to it but aside from that awful bit, there wasn’t much else. I’ve got 2 other bottles to try so we’ll see. tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA Mar 17, 2008 Didn’t really notice the grape. Tasted like a normal pale ale with a little bit of crispness. I guess grapes should stay with wine. beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA Mar 17, 2008 Pours amber with a small white head. The grapes didn’t play a big part, hints here and there, but shy and probably good that it was that way. The pale was soft on the malts, lightly hopped in the finish, fruity and a touch citrusy. Not a bad beer, but i’m a bit shocked it won its way to the Longshot series. iride15 (169), Orlando, Florida, USA Mar 17, 2008 Didn’t like this long shot so much. No taste of grapes over the pale ale flavor. This could have been a better beer, but I don’t see it worthy of winning the 2007 Long Shot contest. demitriustown (689), Shelby Township, Michigan, USA Mar 16, 2008 12 oz bottle: Aroma is bready, definite malt characteristics, maybe a slight amout of grapes but not noticeable. I can detect a bit of roasted malt and it’s very lgihtly hopped. Appearance is golden/amber clear with a huge sized white head that lingers. Taste is lightly hopped, nicely bitter, I do find the green grapes on the back end. It’s slight but not overwhelming whatsoever nicely done. I like that this isn’t just a in your face grape flavor. It’s Beer first and some grape in the taste but not the whole taste. I like it in my opinion. Narnad (682), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA Mar 16, 2008 This beer carries a small head , slight lacing on the glass and a light amber color to it. The overall aroma has a hint of maltiness mixed with a little bit of grape. The flavor carries a malt flavor and finishes with sweet taste of green grape at the front of the tongue that sticks around for a good amount of time. I am not too impressed with this offering from Sam. Jvittorio4187 (255), Boardman, Ohio, USA Mar 16, 2008 Pours a pale amber with white head. Aroma is slightly hoppy with faint grape. Taste is bland with slight grape. Finish is clean and crisp daknole (2805), Plantation, Florida, USA Mar 15, 2008 Not a good beer. Didnt taste grapes at all, just a bad beer. I can taste a hint of maple syrup, but this beer should never have won ANYTHING.
